New Lightroom plugin for professional photographers

I just finished first version of LR plug-in that closes the hole between virtual order and Lightroom cataloging. When client sends you list of selected photos you have an option now to automatically mark them in LR for processing. Manual process of matching names is quite slow and prone for errors, so you might want to give it a try. Download and instructions here.

Ouch

Check out this unlucky wedding photographer who was carried away, so to say.

Back in February I photographed Face The Future charity event. Hosted by plastic surgeon Dr. Adamson, the purpose of this event is to raise money for medical humanitarian missions.

Lightroom 3 performance

LR3 import performance is nothing short of amazing. One year worth of photos took less than 5 minutes to import into a catalog. I haven’t been using LR much in the past but I think it’s time now to revisit my photography workflow habits.

A walk outside

It finally became warm enough to take a nice long walk in the park. We forget sometimes what blue sky looks like in our covered with smog cities. This was one of those days that can remind you incredibly blue the sky can be.

I did little experiments and shot several frames through my glasses to produce vintage polaroid look. White balance was set to daylight so color doesn’t shift.

Anubis

Took my family on the weekend to attend King Tut’s exhibition at AGO. That was a nightmare. It costs too much, too many people stuffed inside small space to feel comfy and you cannot photograph the items. Nightmare! At least Anubis was accessible.

The road ahead

I love to snap small 50mm on my camera and shoot while driving. The trick is not look into viewfinder, shoot from the hip so to say. Photography can be dangerous.

Foggy night

It was incredibly warm here in Toronto for the last few days. Today we’ve got nice fog in the evening, a very pretty stuff to photograph.
