Fungi season

I love photographing mushrooms because of the variety of their shapes, textures and colors. So it was time to head to a forest see what’s interesting grew up there. Last year I used off-camera flash to light up the scene, this time I wanted to see how ambient would work. Noise levels on Nikon D300 are much better than on my old D80 so I was able to push ISO to get some stable shots.

The Beaches

Took my family to the Woodbine Beaches couple of weeks ago. The weather was nice, most suitable for a long walk across the beach. Living in Richmond Hill we don’t go here as often as we used when living much closer in East York, it brings memories of a time spent here.

This particular area is very interesting. It is water filtration plant and it reminds me of first Quake game. Very strong architectural lines, this would be a great location for a fashion photoshoot.

Brickworks Park

Couple of weeks ago I had a bit of time before planned photoshoot, I stopped at Brickworks to see what’s happening there. Construction is moving full ahead, I didn’t go near the building that every photographer in Toronto knows, just took few shots outside in the park.
